  • This family-friendly event is ideal for youth and families! Children will be on a scavenger hunt throughout the course.

    Saturday, May 20:

    • 10:30am you will register and receive your participant bundle.

    • 11am the Color Fun Run begins.

    • Following the run, enjoy the family-friendly After Party:

      • More color powder fun

      • Raffles

      • Lunch and snacks at the food trucks

      • Activities

      • Music

      • Play time!

  • The Fun Run is intended to be just than - a fun experience. This is not a race or a run that is timed or competitive. This is a child friendly, outdoor experience where children will be on a scavenger hunt.

  • We are praying and hoping for sunshine! The Color Fun Run will be a go unless there are storms that create an unsafe environment. If there are questions on the day of the event, check our Facebook page for updates.

  • A parent is required to be on the course with their child.

    However, the parent(s) are not required to pay a registration fee.

  • Pets are not allowed at this event.

  • The course is outdoors and over a mix of terrain - you may encounter uneven ground and a mix of prairie land and dirt paths.

    Additionally, there will be a number of color stations where you will have color powder thrown. If you choose to bring your stroller, please be aware it will likely have color powder thrown on it.

  • Closed-toed shoes are recommended as the course is over a mix of terrain - you may encounter uneven ground and a mix of prairie land and dirt paths.

    These shoes will likely get covered in color powder that may wash off.

  • Yes, you can surely come the day of the event and register to participate. However, day of registrations will not receive an event t-shirt.

    Day of registrations are $20.

  • We welcome you to help prepare for the event or to make a contribution to the fundraiser.

    You can also purchase Raffle Tickets for a chance to win a Raffle Basket. Raffle Tickets are on sale now in the BHP office. Cash or Check only, please. You need not be present to win!

  • The color powder will be be using is made with high quality cornstarch, food dyes and baking soda. All materials are 100% FD&C and/or D&C approved.

    Anyone who has asthma, is allergic to any of the ingredients or has any respiratory issues should exercise caution when participating in color powder events.

  • The color powder is gluten free and does not contain dairy, nuts, wheat, soy or other common allergens. Although it is made from all food safe ingredients, it is not created in a food safe facility and is not intended for human consumption.

    Anyone who has asthma, is allergic to any of the ingredients or has any respiratory issues should exercise caution when participating in color powder events.

  • BHP sits on a 40 acre Certified Natural Habitat. The course will be a long loop through the prairies and wooded areas. An exact length is not known, but will be made and doable for most walkers.
